This is a remake of an old DOS game I made decades ago. I am not supporting this game, and it’s being provided as is, but it’s still playable, at least on the few platforms that I tested it on. I’m including source, in case anybody would like to play with it. Directions are included with it, in addition, there is also an included game editor, so that you can edit levels, or create your own.
This was created using Palm Pascal. This was actually my first attempt at programming with PP, prior to writing DBLP. Use at your own risk!
Download TheTick.zip .
Installation:
1. Uncompress the archive, TheTick.zip.
2. Copy the files TEditor.prc, Tick.prc, TickData.pdb to the Palm QuickInstall tool.
3. Hotsync your device.
Tick.prc is the actual game, TEditor.prc is the level editor, TickData.pdb are the levels. If you would like to share your own created levels, use your Palm to create them, and then share the TickData.pdb file.
Hint: There is a cheat code, hold left nav and center nav at same time while in game to bring up the level jump window. Then you can advance to whatever level you like; cheaters never prosper!
Enjoy!

DBLP is an application that will let you switch applications, with the ease of your devices’ hard buttons, without exiting the current application. After installing DBLP, you can map up to 20 applications on your Palm, memory card, or DA’s (Desk Accessories) to each of the four hard buttons (datebook, contacts, tasks, notepad).
In “Scroll Mode”, Holding a hard button down will loop through each of the applications assigned to that button. When you release the button, the selected application or DA will launch. In “Non scroll Mode”, the DBLP launcher pops up and waits for you to select an application from the list, and can optionally automatically launch an application after a specified delay with no keypresses.
Don’t know what a DA is? Palms don’t multitask (more than one program running at a time). However, DA’s, are small applications you can run without exiting the application you are currently working in. For example, you’re writing a formula in memopad, and can’t remember what X-V+4/N(56-Y*2) is. So, you pop up a calculator DA, do your formula, and resume your memo, without ever exiting the memopad. I’m sure I’d be wrong stating it as fact, but I personally have never run across a DA I had to pay for. Most DA’s are available as Freeware (cost you nothing to use the application). Note: DA’s are not “hacks,” they are very simple Palm applications that just have a different method of being run, by means of a DA launcher. Much information about DA’s can be found online. Just know, DBLP is not only an application launcher, but a DA launcher as well.
Memory card launching. It is possible to load applications from a memory card by copying them from the memory card to RAM, and then deleting them when the application finishes, this is what most memory card launching applications do, as well as DBLP.
Note, not all applications can be run from a memory card. When DBLP runs an application from a memory card, it first copies the executable to your device. After the application runs, it’s deleted from the device. If other files are required by the executable, it may not run if they are located on the memory card. Therefore, not all applications may be run from a memory card.
Version 1.17b introduces DIA support! Now you can enjoy DBLP to the full extent on those large screens! You can also change the font that DBLP displays in the launcher (if you have a hard time looking at those small fonts, now you can make them larger!!)!!
DBLP will remain in beta mode as new features are added, currently it’s 1.18b, due to the addition of the DIA support, which is still a little buggy.
Softonic’s James Thornton did a short review of DBLP, read it here!
There is also a forum on 1src.com that is all about DBLP! I regularly check into this forum and add my two cents. The forum is located here.
Enjoy!

Here’s a compilation of a series of DA’s (Desk Accessories) that I have written. All these DA’s are included in the Duh Button Launcher Plus application, but I have put them out as a seperate download for those of you that would like to use these with a different DA Launcher. All these DA’s work well with MyKbd, DA Launcher, Apt, etc.
ResetDA -
Immediatly resets your palm.
PowerDA -
Puts your palm to sleep.
DateTimeDA, BigClockDA -
Displays current date and time.
SPECIAL NOTICE! BigClockDA is based on, and uses fonts from “Big Clock.” Big Clock is a wonderful application under the GNU, written by Jens Rupp
bigclock@gacel.de
http://www.gacel.de/bigclock.htm
BatteryDA -
Display how much battery juice you have left.
ReturnDA -
This DA does nothing, it just exits the DA launcher and returns you to the application you were using when you launched the DA launcher. Useful for DBLP (Duh Button Plus) if you accidently hit a hardware button.
WordListDA -
An alternative to the Palm Shortcuts. Intended for people like me that have lousy graffiti. Add a word, and WordList will save it. Select a word from the list, press copy, and then paste the word wherever you need it.
PortLandDA-
This simple DA cycles through the orientation states of your device if it supports the Dynamic Input Area and wide screen orientation. If you activate it from portrait mode, it shifts to landscape. If you’re in landscape, it shifts to reverse portrait, then reverse landscape, then to portrait.
-MemoryStatDA: This simple DA shows how much free dynamic heap you have. You can use this to manually monitor suspicious applications for memory leaks. I use this for my own personal use, and decided to include it so that someone else might find it useful as well.

This simple application when launched, returns you to the last application that you ran. This program has two parts, the main program, which “remembers” the last application run, and a DA (desk accessory) that is used to quickly switch to the previous application.
Any DA launcher can be used to launch Previous Application including Duh Button Launcher Plus, MyKbd and DA Launcher!
